On the 12th Day of Christmas…Santa

24 Dec

Up on the house top reindeer pause. Out jumps good ole Santa Claus. Down through the chimney with lots of toys!  I’ve been so excited about posting this mani.  It turned out so freaking cute!  It was one of the first Christmas nail designs I actually did, so I’ve been waiting a couple weeks to share it with you. Since tonight is the night that this jolly guy comes to visit; I saved it for last.  I just love everything about it!  The sky, the brick, the snow…

Hopefully Santa won’t get stuck in any of your chimneys so you can all have a merry Christmas morning!  Happy Holidays everyone!

On the 11th Day of Christmas…Presents

23 Dec

I have a gift for you!  Get it?  Gift?  If you haven’t finished your Christmas shopping yet, you’re about out of time.  Only one more Christmas manicure left!  Do you know what you’re going to sport on your nails on Christmas day yet?  I have a mani I’m leaning towards, but I haven’t made a decision yet.I really like the green ones, but not so much with the red ones.  Can’t win ’em all I guess.

My middle finger is my favorite.  I can’t wait for Christmas morning!  My 12th Day of Christmas manicure tomorrow is gonna blow your mind!  Remember to check it out!

On the 10th Day of Christmas…Icicles

22 Dec

I can’t believe this month has gone so fast!  I finished my shopping yesterday.  It feels good to be done!

This isn’t exactly 10 lords a leaping, but a good wintery manicure none the less.  This is my take on icicles.  I’m actually calling it my snow cave.  I love how the blue color turned out!  It’s OPI Sea Ya Later Sailor over Sally Hansen Black Out.  Sea Ya Later Sailor is pretty sheer by itself, but is gorgeous over black.  Oh my!

To give the icicles a frosted look I topped them off with Color Club Femme Fetal.  It’s subtle, but made for a perfect finish.

Don’t they actually look cold?  I really want to do these again and wear them as a full mani.  Only a few more days of Christmas nails left.  I’ve saved the best for last so make sure you are checking back!

On the 9th Day of Christmas…Lights

21 Dec

Yesterday’s Rudolph nails was my 100th post.  Yay!  This is my take on Christmas tree lights.  I wanted them to look like they were actually on a tree.  This was probably the most difficult Christmas manicure that I did.  I had to really layer the colors for the lights to get them to show up.  While it was a pain, I’m really happy with the results.  It looks like my Christmas tree at home.

On the 8th Day of Christmas…Reindeer

20 Dec

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen. But do you recall, the most famous reindeer of all? Rudolph! I had actually planned on only doing one nail with a red nose and the rest black, but before I knew it they all had red noses and I wasn’t about to start over. Oh well.

No Christmas nails collection is complete without Rudolph.  I’ve seen many different ways to reindeer.  I chose  a simple design.

Here is evidence of a small gene pool I guess.  Oops… My dotter got away from me.  :/
