Day 30- 30 Days of Untrieds: China Glaze Phat Santa

Last day of the challenge!  I didn’t anticipate that simply changing my polish every day would be so challenging.  I guess that’s why it’s called a challenge.  I’m happy to have a break from swatching.  I’m ready to do something fun and wear my mani for more than a few hours.

China Glaze Phat Santa:  This was a really thick formula.  It went on really smoothly, but was thicker than your average polish.  This is a good deepish red; not a primary red.

Day 29- 30 Days of Untrieds: OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window

O.P.I. Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window:  This is an awesome green.  My sister bought it a while back and I liked it so much I had to get my own bottle.  You know what’s funny?  It’s the exact same color as the accent wall in my bedroom.  Exactly.  Like I could use it to touch up nail holes.  It’s kind of an olive, army green.  The pictures are pretty true to the actual color.  Despite what the name of the color may lead you to believe; it doesn’t smell. 😉

Day 28- 30 Days of Untrieds: Sephora by OPI Only Gold For Me

Sephora by O.P.I. Only Gold For Me:  I’d been in the market for a gold glitter for a while.  I’m not sure why it was so hard for me to find.  I snatched it right up when I was at Sephora the other day.  This is 3 coats with a little glopping over the top of O.P.I. Plugged-In Plum.  I’m loving the purple and gold combo.

Day 27- 30 Days of Untrieds: Sally Hansen Antiquated Gold crackle

Sally Hansen Antiquated Gold crackle:  I’ve used crackles in a couple other brands and this was the smoothest yet.  It’s definitely not a yellow gold.  It’s really pretty.  I don’t have that much to say about it.

I paired it with O.P.I. Plugged-In Plum.

Day 26- 30 Days of Untrieds: Nicole by OPI Step to the Beat of my Heart

Nicole by O.P.I. Step to the Beat of My ♥:  Yes, this is a Justin Beiber polish.  Why a teenage boy decided to make a purple and pink heart polish I don’t understand, but I’ve never suffered from Beiber Fever so maybe that’s my problem.  I was utterly disappointed in this polish.  After my pinkie I sorta gave up.  Most of the time when I pulled the brush out of the bottle there were no hearts on it.  I had to dip and redip many times to even catch a heart.  Then I had to fight to get it to stick to my nail.  One heart on each nail was an accomplishment, two was a miracle.  In addition to the hearts there are tiny, little, holographic glitters that were almost as sparse.

I hate to say it, but I’m gonna have to deem this a waste of money.  To top it off Nicole’s new Perfect Stroke Brush is awful.  It seemed super cheapy compared to O.P.I.’s or even Sally Hansen’s.  Don’t be lured in by this bottle full of glistening hearts; you’ll be heart broken (pun intended.)  This was layered over O.P.I. Yodel Me On My Cell.
