I decided to try another crackle mosaic. For some reason, this one really reminds me of a patchwork quilt though.
This time I went with a white base coat rather than a colored underbelly. I also tried to keep my spots of color a lot smaller than the last time. I like version 2.0 better than the first.
I used all of my crackle polishes. I need to add to that rainbow I think; an orange or a yellow. If you’re exceptionally curious about one of the polishes in particular, ask me and I’ll go see what it’s called. Otherwise I’m not going to catalog them.
I’ve been doing a tiny bit of redecorating in my kitchen lately. Just updating some accessories. Since the main wall in the kitchen/dining area was matched with Zoya Kristen, I thought it would be appropriate to do a mani based on the colors of my kitchen.
Zoya Kristen is one of those colors that some will say is blue and some will say is grey. I say blue. When my husband saw this mani, he said Kristen was grey, but he agrees that our kitchen is blue. Hmm. Whatever. Now, I don’t really have stripes or leopard prints in my kitchen. I do however have a couple things that are black with white polka dots.
I didn’t notice until well after I was done with this mani that my index and middle fingers together kind of look like an American flag. Oops. Totally unintentional. I don’t have an Americana theme in my kitchen.
I really love red with Zoya Kristen. It’s a bit of a retro color combination to me. The red I used here is Julep Molly. My white is China Glaze White on White and the black is China Glaze Liquid Leather. I topped it off with Jordana Quick Shine top coat.
What do you think of my kitchen? What colors do you have in your kitchen?
Ha ha! I just typed Color Blub! LOL! Betcha didn’t know they had changed their name, did ya? Seriously though, I’m sooo happy I found this color!
I went swap shopping a few days ago and couldn’t help but buy a few for myself as well. There is only one shop in my area that I know of that sells Color Club. I made a special trip over there to see what I could find.
I think duochromes have become my favorite finish when it comes to a full ten finger manicure. Port-Folio is a grapey purple polish with a green shimmer. I posted a bunch of pictures because I just couldn’t decide which ones to eliminate. Too pretty!
Whoa! Look at that bright flash of green! In love!
Stripes was all I could think to call this. Was just playing around and this is came of it.
I just used the bottle brush for this design and kinda slapped it on.
I used Sinful Colors Timbleberry and Nirvana and China Glaze For Audrey.
I’m not sure I like this color combo, but I think the design is cool.
I had actually thought to do this mani months ago, but just never got around to it. Then when it became one of our Twinsie Tuesday themes I was glad I hadn’t already done it. That would’ve meant I would have to run out and buy a new car so as to avoid a duplicate post. NOT! Ha ha! Can you imagine doing something so ludicrous?
Yes, today’s theme is a polish the color of your car. It just so happens that Julep Marisa is the exact color of my car, a Mitsubishi Endeavor. I could probably touch up little chips and rust spots in my car with this polish. Why did I pay $30 for a touch up paint from the dealership? 🙂
As is customary, I had to dress it up a bit and throw the Mitsubishi logo on there using China Glaze Platinum Silver. We are absolutely a Mitsubishi family. My husband is on his third Galant (after wrecking the first two). Love them! What do you drive?
