Color Club Port-Folio

Ha ha! I just typed Color Blub! LOL! Betcha didn’t know they had changed their name, did ya? Seriously though, I’m sooo happy I found this color!

I went swap shopping a few days ago and couldn’t help but buy a few for myself as well. There is only one shop in my area that I know of that sells Color Club. I made a special trip over there to see what I could find.

I think duochromes have become my favorite finish when it comes to a full ten finger manicure. Port-Folio is a grapey purple polish with a green shimmer. I posted a bunch of pictures because I just couldn’t decide which ones to eliminate. Too pretty!

Whoa! Look at that bright flash of green! In love!

Braille Nails

These striped polka dots were another sort of Christmas mani I wore in an effort to be festive. My dad took a good look at it and asked what it was. I told him it was just polka dots when my sister-in-law chimed in that it was Braille. Ha ha! That made me laugh. She’s quick that one.

This was inspired by a design I saw HERE. I love the colors they used, but wanted to make it Christmasy.

I used Color Club Reddy or Not and Orly Green Apple. Just like with most of the designs I do, I really liked this and want to play with other colors. I wore it for a couple days and it stayed on really well. I really didn’t have any chipping! Love when that happens!

Color Club Nouveau Vintage

Before I tell you anything about this polish, I have to say that tomorrow is the start of my 12 Days of Christmas manis! Are you as excited as I am? I’ve been working on them for a week or two now and can’t wait to start revealing them. Christmas is almost here!

Anyway, back to the polish at hand. Nouveau Vintage is one of Color Club’s new Back to Boho line. It looks a bit holo-ish in the bottle, but I didn’t see much of it going on on my nails. If you click on the picture to enlarge it, then click to enlarge it again, you’ll see a bit of color change going on, but just hints.

It’s a two coater that ended up being a pretty, bronzy, shimmery, micro glittery polish. Was that enough adjectives? You can have a look at the new Back to Boho line HERE.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I wish my turkey drawing skills were this awesome, but this is a water decal. Years ago I used decals all the time. I have a stash I should pull out and use more often. I picked up these Thanksgiving themed decals at one of my locally owned beauty supply stores. The pack was $1.99. When I got home I saw the price tag was covering another price tag. I pulled it off and saw a tag for $7.99. Wow; that had been hanging on their rack for a few years I guess. I was happy to take it off their hands for a fraction of the price. For the striped gradient I used Jordana Chiffon, Sinful Colors Nirvana and Finger Paints Sketchy Character. The glitter is Color Club Art Club silver holographic glitter.

Day 23- 30 Days of Untrieds: Color Club Jingle Jangle

Color Club Jingle Jangle: Another glitter! I feel like I’ve been doing a lot of glitters lately. I put this on top of the Jordana Smooth Blue from yesterday. It went on really nicely and didn’t need any glopping to get lots of sparkle on my nail. Jingle Jangle has blue, purple and green glitter in it so it can be paired with a variety of colors. It’s a fun glitter to add to your collection.
