Shimmer Rochelle

Today I have my final installment of Shimmer polishes.  Rochelle is described as a red and gold glitter.

Because of the red and gold combo it reads a bit orange-ish to me so I layered it over Sinful Colors Courtney Orange, a deep red-orange metallic.

I saved Rochelle for last because it’s one of my favorites.  Red is one of my favorite colors

My pinkie has two coats of Rochelle with no underpants, while the rest of my nails have just one coat of Rochelle.  Shimmer glitters have excellent coverage.

Shimmer Caroline

Shimmer Caroline is my favorite of them so far.  I love purple though.  I need more purple in my life.  I don’t have it anywhere in my house or really even my wardrobe.  I’ll have to remedy that.

Caroline is described as a grape purple with a slight blue hint from the holo glitters mixed in there.  So pretty!  To make it pop, I layered it over Zoya Petra, a dark smokey purple.

My pinkie has no purple underbelly, just two coats of Caroline, which gave excellent coverage.  The rest of my nails only have one coat of Caroline over Petra.

An awesome thing about Shimmer glitters is that they’re not uber rough like some other glitters.  Sure, they’re a little bumpy after you put a top coat on, but some glitters need a couple coats of top coat so they don’t snag on your clothes.  I like that about these.  If you haven’t already, head over to Shimmer Polish’s blog to have a peek at her full line.

Color Club Port-Folio

Ha ha!  I just typed Color Blub!  LOL!  Betcha didn’t know they had changed their name, did ya?  Seriously though, I’m sooo happy I found this color!

I went swap shopping a few days ago and couldn’t help but buy a few for myself as well.  There is only one shop in my area that I know of that sells Color Club.  I made a special trip over there to see what I could find.

I think duochromes have become my favorite finish when it comes to a full ten finger manicure.  Port-Folio is a grapey purple polish with a green shimmer.  I posted a bunch of pictures because I just couldn’t decide which ones to eliminate.  Too pretty!

Whoa!  Look at that bright flash of green!  In love!

Shimmer Adrienne

Only a couple more Shimmer polishes to go!

This is Shimmer Adrienne.  Adrienne is predominantly blue and silver with some gold mixed in and an occasional red.

I layered it over Revlon Chic.  Like all the Shimmer polishes I’ve swatched, this had excellent coverage.  Over Chic I only needed one coat.  Without a base color on my pinkie, I used two coats to achieve full coverage.

Zoya Gemma

I LOVE THIS POLISH!!!  I’m so glad that I chose to order this polish when Zoya had their BOGO promotion.  It took a couple weeks for the order to arrive in the mail, so I’d forgotten what I’d ordered.

When I opened my package and pulled Gemma out, I looked at it for a second and though, “Why did I order this one?”  Then I saw the duochrome shimmer.  Oh yeah, that’s why.

Gemma is a light olive green color with a blue/purple shimmer mixed in.  Despite the fact that green, blue and purple are all cool colors, I think the shimmer warms the green up a bit and softens the shock of a green polish.

It applied smoothly and had full coverage in two coats.  There’s nothing not to love about this polish.

Whether you love or hate greens, you should try Gemma.  I love it!  L.O.V.E.
