Three Little Birds Nails

7 Apr

“Don’t worry about a thing, ‘Cause every little thing gonna be all right.  Singin’, “Don’t worry about a thing, ‘Cause every little thing gonna be all right!”

Rise up this mornin’, Smiled with the risin’ sun, Three little birds, Pitch by my doorstep, Singin’ sweet songs, Of melodies pure and true, Sayin’, “This is my message to you-ou-ou.”

Singin’, “Don’t worry ’bout a thing, ‘Cause every little thing gonna be all right.” Singin’, “Don’t worry (don’t worry) ’bout a thing, ‘Cause every little thing gonna be all right!”

Whether you’re a Bob Marley fan or not, you probably know this song.  I hear a rendition of it pretty much every day when my little one and I are listening to the toddler radio station on Pandora. Elizabeth Mitchell’s version is my personal favorite.  That’s where this idea came from.

I used a thousand different polishes on this manicure.  Okay, that’s probably a slight exaggeration, but there were lots of polishes and a couple acrylics.  The blue sky on my thumb and index finger is a no name polish I picked up at the mall one day.  It has a zebra print sticker on the front of the bottle, but really nothing else.  To further create the sunrise gradient, I used OPI Swedish Nude, Julep Blake, WnW Sunny Side Up and Sinful Colors Pull Over.  “Don’t Worry,” is done in Jordana Purple Bright.  On my middle finger, my door is Finger Paints Sketchy Character with my panels (and bird legs and beaks) being done in tan acrylic.  The doorknob is OPI DS Radiance.  The green bird is Orly Green Apple and China Glaze Starboard.  The “door step” is Sally Hansen Wet Cement.

My blue house on my ring and pinkie fingers is the unnamed blue polish with Zoya Kristen striping through it to look like siding.  The bird on my ring finger is Julep Alicia with Orly Terracotta.  My little purple bird is OPI Do You Lilac It? and Jordana Purple Bright.  My blacks are China Glaze Liquid Leather and acrylic.

I used Jordana Quick Dry top coat between layers while I was working on things and Seche Vite as a final top coat.   I’ve had this song stuck in my head pretty much all the time since I did this design.  Good thing it’s a happy, feel good song.

**Oh yeah!  I forgot to mention that the idea for my birds came from the fantastic Rina of Simply Rins.  If you’re not already familiar with her, you should be.

I’m seriously almost always singing this song in my head. I guess if you’re going to have a song stuck in your head, be grateful it’s not an annoying one. 😉 Thanks NailDays!

WOW, this is so amazing !
I have never thought anyone would capture a nail art from the song.
Have you ever thought of any other classic songs to make a nice art out of ?

Thank you so much Thania! I haven’t thought of any other classic songs. A couple kiddie songs maybe, but no classics.
