Twinsie Tuesday: International Polish

31 Jan

Hello out there!  I’ve got something new for you today.  Each Tuesday I’ll be participating in Twinsie Tuesday with several other bloggers.  We’ll all be posting a mani with the same theme, but none of us know what the other is planning, so they’ll all be different and a fun surprise.  The next month is a trial run.  Hopefully this will be a success for all of us and we can keep it going.

The theme for our kick off is international polish.  I’ve actually only got one international polish that I haven’t already swatched.  This is the last of the polishes that my sister picked up for me while she was in London; Barry M Mint Green.  I have a few other mint green polishes so I didn’t feel pressed to swatch this one before today.

Like most pastel toned colors it went on quite sheer with the first coat.  With the second there was still some visible nail line, so this was a three coater.  To dress it up I topped it off with Kleancolor Sugar Coat.

Sugar Coat was a super duper thick jelly.  Like, unworkably thick.  I managed two coats, but just barely.  It was actually quite a mess.  I didn’t have any thinner on hand so there wasn’t much I could do at the time.  Still a pretty result.

Be sure the check out every one else’s international polishes today:

I am so in love with this Barry M. It’s such a pretty shade. Love the layering too. Sorry it was so difficult to work with though.

Thanks MariJo! Hopefully some thinner will fix the consistency of Sugar Coat because it’s so pretty.

I love Barry M. and this mint is really so lovely. I really like the glitter you layered (which is saying something because you know how I feel about glitter!). I really love what you chose for the first Twinsie Tuesday!

Oooooh it’s lovely! Beautiful green, and I haven’t seen Sugar Coat before! Too bad it was hard to work with, but the end result is gorgeous. Can’t wait to check out the rest of your blog! It’s nice to meet you, looking forward to more Twinsie Tuesdays! Anne

Nice to meet you too Anne! Sugar Coat is really pretty. I’m sure I’ll have to add a ton of thinner to it to make it workable though.

I love mint shades like this! I’m sure I have dupes but I really can’t get enough of them. I like the extra touch you gave this one with Sugar Coat!

Thanks Chelsea! I have a few other mint colors too, but this is the only one that’s a cream so I’m happy to have it.
